Smoking is now banned in all restaurants and bars in the city. It will take some time getting used to not having to request a non-smoking area in restaurants. I went out for lunch with some friends a few weeks ago and we automatically asked for non-smoking, to which the hostess said something like 'yeah they are all non-smoking now'. It's hard to imagine a ban on smoking actually *hurting* business long-term though. After all, it's not like they can just go to another bar to drink & smoke. But Baltimore is a human wasteland at best. The murder and violent crime rates are simply astronomical.... I can think of hundreds of better uses for the politicians time than smoking in bars, of all things.
