I’m fairly new. I actually started about a week before John Chow started his promotion.

Anyway, I’ve only got a few weeks in and its been ok so far. I think it mostly depends on your attitude and what you expect. Its not gonna make money like Text Link Ads probably, but if you get enough traffic you’ll be able to pull in some decent supplement income, similar to how Google Adsense has been for me.

I plan on posting something about it maybe a month from now or so after I’ve gotten to truly experience it. Like you said, it takes a bit for the relevant ads to start showing up as well.

Kyle - Do you have any stats on Kontera, or are you pretty new to it as well?

Good point about the feeds, i am a big feed nut, and only click through to comment.

I won’t comment on Kontera’s performance yet - they say it can take ~10 days to optimize the ads for my site, and I don’t like to judge to quickly, for good or bad.

I’m a big fan of Kontera and hope it works well for you.

I don’t really find them annoying, but I usually view sites through a feed so I barely notice them.

I’m looking forward to hearing how its working for you in a few weeks.

I hear ya, they bug me already. But I’m going to stick it out and give them an honest chance. If they work well, I’ll likely take them off this site and use them on my others. I don’t intend them to be a permanent thing here, just for testing.

Curious to see how the ads work for ya. I doubt id install them, as you said, they are annoying heh
