Obsessive Thoughts
I just got tagged by Shawn Knight, this time for Obsessive Thoughts. From what I understand, I have to list five obsessions that I have, and tag 5 more bloggers at the end. I’m really bad at the tagging game, but I’ll give it a go just the same.
- Saving Receipts: This drives my wife crazy. I have every receipt from everything I’ve purchased for the last 7 years. I have boxes upon boxes of receipts. They’re organized by month, but I buy a lot of stuff, so it can be pretty difficult to track down the right one. But I know I have them if I need them.
- Stats: Like Shawn, I’m an absolute stat junkie. I check my internet stats waaaaaaaaaay too much. I’m trying to cut down, but it’s hard, and I’m addicted. I also love stats on cars - HP, torque, redline, weight, gas mileage, quarter mile time, 0-60, whatever. Give me numbers and lots of them.
- Spending time with my family: There’s nothing I love more than just kicking back with my wife and son. It’s better than work, better than sleep, better than making money online. I don’t do it enough, and don’t think I ever could. Any time I have spare time, we’re hanging out together, even if it’s doing nothing.
- Anything that beeps: Gadgets are so much a part of my life that I would find it extremely difficult to live without them. There is always a Treo 700p in my pocket, on my desk, or attached to my ear. Always. I usually have a Sprint PPC-6700 with me, at least when I have my convertible tablet PC. Tablet + PPC-6700 = EV-DO internet = good.
- Cars: Around age 18 or so, I developed an unhealthy obsession with cars. It culminated with my owning ( well it was my wife’s car, but I drove it just as much as she did ) a 2004 Mustang Mach1. 310 HP, 335 fl-lbs of torque, and 12 MPG. She was Screaming Yellow, with the obligatory black accents that come on the Mach1. Oh, and did I mention an actual shaker hood? Since then, reality has stepped in a little bit, and I had to sell her. But I’m still a car nut at heart, and love all kinds.
And now it’s your turn - hopefully I don’t hit anybody that’s already been tagged. I tag : Ray, Garry, Adam, Jeremy, and Carl.

Ahh, the Mach 1… NOOOOO!!! Do you have any pictures of it still? That car is beautiful and the shaker hood really sets it off.
A buddy of mine has an 04 GT and has been constantly upgrading it since day one. I’ve posted info on the progress on my blog but im sure you have already seen it. Look for another update on his car later today

I know, I almost cried when I handed over the keys… I think my wife did. It was just an amazing car in every regard… Stupid fast, tire melting power, the most incredible engine / exhaust note…. and the look was truly unique.
I regret giving her up quite a bit… but the financial situation at the time forced my hand. I could swing it now, but at the time it was just out of the question, and had to go.
I’ve got some pics around somewhere, I’ll try to get a couple up once I track them down.
