Green Llama - Welcome to Google Hell

Ahh yes, Google Hell - the dreaded Supplemental Index.  Google has decided that most of the content here at the Green Llama isn’t worthy of regular search results, and I’ve been kicked down to the dungeons.  That is why, of course, most of my traffic has come from Yahoo, Digg, and various links here and there recently. 

The really bad thing about this is that there’s no way to tell *exactly* why my content got relegated to Google Hell.  I can’t very well call up the big G and ask what’s going on.  So what can I do?

Well, I’m going to start with sprucing up my robots.txt.  I noticed that my RSS feed is still being indexed, though I thought I had fixed that last time.  Beyond that, I’m not sure where to go.  I’m a bit at a loss.  Does anyone see any major flaws that might need a-fixin?

      Yeah, fixing your robots might help. Not sure how google counts the feed towards their duplicate content rule. Have incoming links to your site recently been removed? I’m not sure why else they’d remove you. Google does what Google wants, and we’re sometimes at their mercy. I’m not sure if the “Don’t Be Evil” motto is actually practiced at all times.

      I don’t think any major links have been removed..

      But very true about Google does what Google wants. I love Google, I really do. But it’s difficult when you’re not quite sure how to give her what she wants ;\
