Sponsored Reviews Makes Things Right

Following up with my post about the incident with Sponsored Reviews this past weekend, I am happy to say everything worked out.  I received an email from Sponsored Reviews saying that that decided to reach into their own pockets, and pay the bloggers the full amount that they would’ve received.  In fact, I’ve already received the payment into my PayPal account – now how’s that for service?

Granted, I wrote two reviews, and received payment for one, but I hold myself responsible for that.  After all, I only published one of the reviews – the other I had not published before the fraudulent credit card usage was announced.  I don’t hold any sort of grudge about not being paid on that review; after all, there was no real proof that I had written it. 

In any case, at the end of the day, Sponsored Reviews did the right thing – and I can say that they made a loyal publisher out of me. Mistakes, problems, and even fraud happen – it’s part of life.  Knowing that the company you work with will stand behind you and take care of you if a bad situation presents itself is simply priceless.  Now, there’s no doubt in my mind that SR is a great company to work with, and I will freely recommend them to my readers and friends.

    I’m extremely happy do business with a company that shows they are willing to fix a bad situation, whether it was their fault or not ( not, in this case. ) I think it just really shows that they are on our side, and value their publishers.

    I was hoping they would pull it together. I always like to see a company that remembers its customers are its most important assets.

    I’m really glad to hear that things worked out for you. This is the kind of thing that would make or break me using a service like this. In this case, it’s going to keep me motivated to continue using them, whereas I probably would have lost my incentive to do so if they hadn’t provided restitution.

    A non-related question…

    Is the purple hat on the green lama new? I don’t recall it being there before. Maybe I am just not that observant, but it seems new to me.

    The purple hat is fairly new. Shawn Knight suggested awhile back that I should get creative with the llama. Since I have the artistic skills of a 3 year old, my choices are limited. I did stumble across a nice pimp hat though, and thought it would be a good fit.
