James - you said so yourself. "many people thinks..." Since the masses still believe in Pagerank, it matters. When the masses don't believe in it anymore, then it will be worthless. We're simply not there yet.

PR is worthless,
Still many people thinks that their website quality shows by that green bar, and they feel happy them selves by finding the higher length of green bar.
That is nothing just TB PR which is not actual PR for website.

hello, i'm a new beginner. i've heard that PR is very important indicator for making money from blogging. i agree with Ron, that this indocator having weakness. i visit some high PR website, but most of them "not good", i mean no good article, no information, and to simply.

but in marketing plan, PR is a one of marketing strategic. but it is not good. rationally, traffic is more important but must be support by the quality of the website.

Many, many sites still buy pagerank, for better or worse. Whether's it's realistically a relevant ranking system or not doesn't matter a whole lot, when the people with the money are willing to pay for it.

Unfortunately this site ranks poorly in google for the most part, for whatever reason. My off-topic nature may be a big reason for that. There are quite a few RSS subscribers to this site, and regular readers.. I hate to give up on them but there comes a point when you realize that a site isn't going to make it. I think I've hit that point here.

Pagerank was important a couple of years ago. Today it's all about relevancy and good content related to the text ads sold. People aren't buying pagerank, they're buying customers. Text ads help people bring customers by helping their positioning in the search engines and also through the publishers site.

It's a shame you're giving in to Google. You have readers and you are listed in Google. Who gives a rats ass about PR.

You should reconsider because you would be surprised at how you can still make money off of this site.
