Samsung SGH-i750 : Smartphone Preview

19 February 2006

Samsung SGH-i750
Phone Arena previews the Samsung SGH-i750 and they write – ‘FCC pages have just showed the Samsung SGH-i750 phone documents. They reveal that it’s a tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM phone with cutting edge functionality, in slider design and not so big size. The device is based on Windows Mobile for Pocket PC Phones operating system, but unfortunately it is the old 2003 SE version. Hopefully, there would be an update to Win Mobile 5.0 later. Like the other Pocket PC Phones, SGH-i750 features full pack of Microsoft Office mobile applications as well as full HTML Internet browser and an email client.’

So we’ve got wifi, bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, and Windows Mobile 2003??????????????????????? Samsung has some of the world’s best phone designers. Why in the world do they insist on old OS’s time and time again? Even so, this is a sweet design for those who like a more compact smartphone. Me, I can’t do without a QWERTY keyboard these days for my main phone. But I’m a big fan of the slider, and this one looks really nice. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these puppies.
