Treo 650 Smartphone Review at Geek.com

26 December 2005

Geek.com reviewed the PalmOne Treo 650. They write – ‘Amazingly bright high resolution 320×320 pixel display; lots of hardware buttons; well designed keyboard with bright backlight; integrated Bluetooth; good quality VGA camera; removable battery; fast 312MHz PXA270 processor; solid design’

The Gadgeteer also has a review of the Treo 650. They write – ‘Like I said at the beginning of this post, I’m very happy with all aspects of the Treo 650. Battery life has been excellent, phone volume and reception are great, and the PDA integration with the phone is unrivaled as far as I’m concerned. I’m really liking just carrying around one device now instead of two. The only things that can make this phone better would be more memory and built in GPS. But as it is, I don’t see myself upgrading to another phone in quite a while. I don’t think I’ll even spring for a real Verizon 650. I’ll just stick with my hacked Sprint version.’

The Treo 650 is my current smartphone. As far as I can tell, it’s the most complete phone on the market today; it has the best balance of features. I wouldn’t say it’s the best at any one thing, but it does most things well. There is a pretty rough memory shortage, and it tends to be crash-prone moreso than others. But it is incredibly powerful & diverse, so I live with the shortcomings for now.
