Which Network?

26 December 2005

CDMA? GSM/GPRS? Does it matter? Well, I’ve been a Sprint ( CDMA ) user since I got my first cell phone way back in the 1800’s. To me, voice quality is the number one concern with any phone, and Sprint gets the nod there. I’ll readily admit that I like the GSM/GPRS way of handling data connections though. Calls always interrupt data transfer – with Sprint they go straight to voicemail. It can be rather annoying.

Hopefully Sprint will be able to improve their system in this regard, or perhaps the other carriers can improve voice quality to near-Sprint levels. I can live with just about any annoyances, except not being able to understand the person on the other end. After all, what good would your phone be then?
